About Us
The Geoinformatics for Geochemistry (GfG) Program develops and operates digital data collections that support the preservation, discovery, access and analysis of geochemical data, and facilitate their integration with the broad array of other available earth science parameters through the use of advanced information technologies and data management practices in order to advance science and education.
GfG data collections are developed, operated and maintained by a joint team of disciplinary scientists, data scientists, data managers and information technology developers at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory as part of the Integrated Earth Data Applications (IEDA) Research Group. IEDA is a collaborative effort of the GfG Program and the Marine Geoscience Data System (MGDS) to develop and operate integrated data services for the Earth and Ocean Sciences.
